Smashbox Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion

Radiant, supernatural-looking skin in a bottle?  Yup, you can get it with Smashbox Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion, a shimmering liquid that minimizing imperfections while imparting a supermodel glow.

Packaged with a convenient pump, this product easily mixes with moisturizer, primer or foundation, or can be used alone as a liquid highlighter.  (I like mixing it with a drop of foundation for a lighter, luminous application).

The glow looks appropriate for day or night, and won’t leave your face looking shimmery, just luminous.

One word of caution–the glow is addictive.  I’ve been using this product regularly now for a while, and on days when I don’t wear it, I feel my complexion looks a little flat.  Luckily, a little goes a long way and the product lasts a long time.

I’ve got the Diffuse shade, a luminous pearl color.  Glow, a bronze color, and Flash, a peach color, are also available.  All shades are formulated with good-for-your-skin Ginkgo Biloba and Japanese green tea.

I love glow lotions, but not the ones with self-tanner in them. Honestly, I’ve tried a half dozen self-tanning lotions and every one of them made me orange. So the best thing for me is to just use a lotion with a shimmer to it which gives my skin a pretty sheen without any obnoxious color. My favorite this year is called Glamour Girl and its all natural with essential oils–and it has shea butter which makes it actually good for the skin. http://www.salonhive.com/glamour-girl-glow-lotion.html

A makeup artist friend of my just introduces me to Sally Hansen Natural Beauty’s Luminizing Face Primer. It’s a fluffy liquid that makes my skin feel like velvet and makes my pores look smaller. There are subtle pearly beads that give me the glow I’ve always wanted without looking shiny. Carmindy from “What Not to Wear” is affiliated with the line, which I like too.
