Love Her Look: Isla Fisher

“I love shopping!!”

Ok girls–Who is going to see Confessions of a Shopaholic? As a recovering shopaholic-turned-recessionista, I’m scared this movie might make me regress, but I’ve just got to see it anyway!

To get Isla Fisher’s red carpet look, keep skin looking natural by applying a mineral foundation, like Bare Escentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation. Give cheeks a gentle pink glow with a blush like CARGO’s The Big Easy.

Next, prep the eyelids using an eyeshadow primer, like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Make eyes bright and shimmery by using a silvery-white shimmer shadow, such as MAC Eyeshadow in Filament. Sweep the shadow from the lash line up to the brow bone, highlight the inner corners of the eyes, and brush the shadow along the inner third of the lower lash line. Define the crease using a matte taupe shadow such as Stila Matte Eyeshadow in Tolima. Sweep the taupe shadow along the outer third of the lower lash line as well. Line the waterline with a white kohl pencil to achieve a wide-eyed look. I love MAC Eye Kohl in Fascinating. Line the upper lashes using your favorite black eyeliner. Apply several coats of jet black volumizing mascara, such as Maybelline Colossal Volum’ Express mascara.

Give lips a sweet pink shimmer using a gloss like NARS Lip Gloss in Sweet Dreams, and now you’re ready to go hit the sales!

Which mascara do you think is better between Covergirl LashBlast and Maybelline Colossal? They look kind of similar .. does one of them hold curl better?

    Thanks so much!

LashBlast works the best for me. It seems to stretch the lashes out and upwards and the formula doesn’t get stiff, which I like!

Interestingly enough, the Luxe formula seems to give my lashes more of a curl than the original LashBlast but they both give a nice, wide-eyed look.

I hope that I see this and can dispute the bad reviews that it’s already getting- even as it just came out.
