A few weeks ago, I set out on the hunt to find an inexpensive mineral foundation, and I ended up with Milani Minerals Compact Makeup Foundation. I had high hopes for this talc-free, mineral makeup foundation in pressed powder form, and it worked out, but not how I’d expected.
Used on its own as a foundation, it just doesn’t cut the mustard. It goes on very sheer, and unlike Bare Minerals, the coverage is not buildable. It barely evens out my skintone and forget about zit coverage. But used as a setting powder? Perfect. This silky powder sets foundation beautifully, and even though it’s technically supposed to be a foundation, it doesn’t look heavy or cakey on top of liquid foundation. I’ve been using this powder over Revlon Colorstay Foundation and my makeup stays in place perfectly all day long with no touch-ups. Hallelujah.
When applying this product, ditch the sponge that comes with it (it makes the powder look like it’s resting on top of the skin) and use a powder brush instead, to buff it on for a nice finish.

my sis had this but never used it i shud steal it lol
What other setting powders do you like? I love Benefit Get Even.
Oh I’ve been wanting to try Benefit Get Even. I tested it in Sephora and it felt really silky.
I usually use MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder or MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural for use as a setting powder. I’ve repurchased both a lot, but I think the Mineralize powder looks a bit nicer.

Hey Glossy! Where did you buy this!? I’m intrigued! lol!
Hi Tyra!
I got it at CVS. Incidentally, I also got a Milani lipstick at the same time–Milani Moist Matte Lipstick in Cream Pie and I love it!
