Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey

I still remember my first tube of Black Honey. It was a gift with purchase cast-off given to me by my mom, and a lucky happenstance for me.

I was fifteen (a baby!) and my boyfriend (a senior!) kissed me the instant he saw me standing there in my red merino GAP sweater and shiny, Black Honeyed lips.

Well, there’s a reason this product has achieved cult status. Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is the red that anyone can wear. It’s sheer, it’s moist; it’s sexy yet sophisticated at the same time.

This brownish red, balm-like tint isn’t sticky in the slightest bit, and feels so delightful on the lips, I dare you to wear it and not rub your lips together.

Beaus come and go, but Black Honey is forever. (Incidentally, I’ve still got that sweater hanging around, too.)

I was JUST thinking yesterday that Black Honey feels PERFECT on the lips. I just wish they still made a few more colors. Does anyone remember Black Lily?

Ooh! Black Lily? I’ve never heard of it? Was it purplish? It sounds divine! :)

Oh, I love this stuff, too! Probably the only thing I will EVER splurge on, my only real department store hold-out is this lipstick. Sadly, my lack of funds in this recession means I can’t replace it. I’d rather go without lipstick than wear anything else!
