In the 8th grade, I discovered John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum and have never looked back since. And when the Thermal Protection version came out several months ago, I transitioned over to that.
This product works to fight frizz and thermal damage. What I really love is how this product gives a lot of “slip” to the hair. It seriously makes hair feel like satin and makes every strand glossy. This serum helps enhance and define my natural waves when I let my hair air-dry, and makes my hair feel silky instead of dry and frizzy when I blow-dry.
The UV filter protects hair from heat styling damage and UV rays, which we all know can zap hair of all things good–color, shine and moisture. I’ve been blow-drying my hair a lot more lately, so far with no signs of heat damage.
This great-smelling serum also infuses hair with a pretty scent. What’s not to love?
Those not plagued with frizzy hair will likely still benefit from using this product because of the out-of-control shine it gives. (But if your hair is very oily you may want to avoid it).
If you’ve never used Frizz Ease but want to try it out, my suggestion would be, “don’t be scared to use that serum, girl!” The directions say to use a dime-sized amount, which for me equals six pumps. Of course, you should adjust the amount to what’s appropriate for your hair length and thickness, but I don’t know if a dime-sized amount would cut the mustard for anyone except those sporting a cropped ‘do ala Katie Holmes. Needless to say, I tear through these tiny bottles of serum, but it’s worth every penny.
