Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15

Let me start by saying I loathe tinted moisturizer. In theory, it sounds great, but every time I try to make it work, my complexion ends up looking muddy, yet still uneven, and greasy.

Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15 straddles the line between tinted moisturizer and sheer foundation. It gives more color than any tinted moisturizer I’ve tried, but is sheerer and moister than most foundations. It won’t cover blemishes, but it does even out skin tone–beautifully. The texture blends easily, just like a lotion does, and feels dewy on the skin. But, if you let it set for about 5 minutes, the dewiness evaporates down to more of a natural finish.

The “skin matching” claim comes from the fact that this product goes on white (with tiny blue beads) and turns a flesh-toned color once applied. I doubt it’s self-adjusting to my skintone, but nevertheless, it does match perfectly. (The product does come in a variety of “shades”).

This product operates best when dusted with powder after it has had a chance to set. I use MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and the result is a satiny smooth complexion. Also, I skip a standard moisturizer and just go right to this product, since it seems fairly hydrating and I don’t want too much moisture on my skin that could possibly turn greasy.

While this product isn’t any marathon foundation, it is a great casual foundation. It holds up pretty well throughout the day, but if you put it on at breakfast, you’ll need a touch-up or two by dinner.

I tried this and i liked it…but since bad skin days r possible i went with Maybelline’s mineral power liquid foundation instead and returned this. It does have a very natural finish and if i ever want a TM i will most likely buy this..even thu it a lil overpriced if u ask me :)

It’s about $12 and you can get it anywhere Revlon products are sold (drugstores, Target, Walmart Ulta, etc.) Try to buy it when they’re having a BOGO sale—this week CVS has Revlon on BOGO :)
